When Simon G. came to the United States, he was set on being an engineer. Unfortunately, he didn't have much money to attend college. He did however have a relative in the jewelry business. He started setting diamonds, and soon fell in love with the process, artistry, and details of jewelry making. He eventually decided to start his own business and things took off from there. Today, Simon G. is a well-known designer brand amongst many.
Fun Fact about Simon G.:

When Simon went to register his business at the Los Angeles City Hall, the clerk told him that his name was too long. And that’s the day Simon Ghanimian became Simon G.
